Computer Class - Portfolio of Computer Job Skills
Course Description
In this computer class, you will learn a broad range of real-world computer office-job skills. You will use most of Microsoft Office Software---Word, Excel, and Publisher---and Intuit’s QuickBooks, and other online resources. Your Portfolio proves you have the necessary job skills for an entry-level office position; bring it to your job interview, and even show it to your friends and family.
Course Curriculum
You will learn how to create letters, labels, certificates, and calendars in Microsoft Word, your own business card in Publisher, and spreadsheets and graphs in Excel. Print payroll checks in QuickBooks and a medical invoice for Medicaid; complete a Government DMV ID application form online; search using Google; download directions and map; complete a Purchase Order; find definitions on Wikipedia; crowdsource on YELP; and search for jobs, housing and more on Craigslist.
You will also receive a copy of Mavis Beacon Keyboarding Software to install on your home computer to encourage you to practice your typing.

Our student-friendly teaching model provides you with a NYSED Licensed Personal Trainer who will teach at your pace, and meet with you on convenient days and times:
